Michael M. Maddocks, 66, of Westborough, died Friday, May 22, 2009 at the UMass- Memorial Healthcare, University Hospital, Worcester.
Born in New London, CT, he was the son of the late Maurice W. and Marie H. (Short) Maddocks. He was a 1961 graduate of Westborough High School and earned an associates degree in Law Enforcement at Northeastern University. During the Vietnam era he served with the Army National Guard. Michael served on the Westborough Police Department for over 30 years retiring as a Sergeant. He was a communicant of St. Luke the Evangelist Church, a member of the VFW Post 9013 and of the American Legion. He is survived by two daughters, Kristen A. Maddocks of Westborough and Taryn B. Maddocks of Millbury. His funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 27, at 10:30 A.M. in St. Luke the Evangelist Church, 70 West Main St., Westborough. Burial will follow in St. Luke's Cemetery. Calling hours at the Britton-Summers Funeral Home, 4 Church St., Westborough, are Tuesday, May 26, from 5 to 8 P.M. Return to name list |
