LLOYD R. SKINNER

Lloyd R. Skinner, 82, of Westborough, died Saturday, February 28, 2009 at Autumn Village in Worcester. He was the husband of the late Filomena E. (Ciramello) Skinner.

Born in Newark, NJ, he was the son of the late Raymond and Whilimia (Brown) Skinner and graduated from Central High School in Providence.

During WW II he served with the U.S. Navy attaining the rank of Seaman First Class.

Mr. Skinner was employed as a construction worker for many years in Rhode Island. He also worked for F. D. McGinn Trucking Co. in E. Providence as a driver. In later years he worked as a handyman and caretaker for the elderly in Arlington and as a landscaper and maintenance man for Carleton Gardens for several years.

Lloyd was a former member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Providence and has been a resident of Westborough since 1990.

Mr. Skinner is survived by two sons, Brian J. Skinner and Bruce A. Skinner and one grandson, Bruce Skinner, Jr.

A graveside funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 11, at 1:30 P.M. in St. Luke's Cemetery. Burial will follow. There are no calling hours.
